Connecting

We plug into the tools you already use.

We connect to the software you already run, so nothing gets replaced. Your systems stay the record of truth. Model Employee reads from them and prepares work for your people to check.

How a connection works

Your tools keep the records

Your customer list, calendar, books, and job software stay exactly where they are.

We ask for the least access that does the job

You see what we need and approve it before anything connects.

Every action is visible

Each step shows what was done, by whom, and where it went.

Three ways we connect

Through the software’s official doorway

Most modern software has a door built for other programs (an API). We use that door, and the software tells us when something changes.

By exchanging files securely

Some software has no doorway. Then we move files on a schedule over a secure, encrypted transfer.

By working the screen, with your approval

Sometimes the only way in is the app’s own screen. Then we automate the exact clicks you approve, and nothing more.

What we connect, by area

Seven areas of a business, the software we work with in each, and what you will need to have in place.

CRM & leads

The software where you keep customers, contacts, and new inquiries.

What we can do with it
We sort new inquiries, keep the owner and stage of each one current, and route follow-up. When a lead is ready, we carry it into the next step of your process.
Works with
  • HubSpot
  • Salesforce
  • Attio
What you’ll need
A login that lets our app connect, approved by your administrator. Salesforce’s doorway and some HubSpot lead features depend on your edition, plan, and seats.

Private equity & investment operations

The software an investment firm uses to track relationships, deals, funds, and investors.

What we can do with it
We help carry a deal from first contact and diligence through to committee review, with analysis that cites its sources. We also support fund and investor operations, portfolio monitoring, and investor reporting.
Works with
  • Affinity
  • Intapp DealCloud
  • Dynamo
  • Juniper Square
What you’ll need
Your vendor plan must include the doorway, and your firm’s setup, roles, and agreements apply. Investment recommendations, capital activity, investor data, and final approvals stay with your people and their permissions.

Field service & project operations

The software that runs your jobs, crews, projects, and task lists.

What we can do with it
We coordinate requests, jobs, projects, and assignments across your teams. We track status changes and exceptions, and collect proof that work was completed.
Works with
  • Jobber
  • ServiceTitan · vendor-approved access
  • Asana
  • monday.com
What you’ll need
Jobber reviews any app used by more than five paying accounts, so we ask them first. ServiceTitan also has to approve access. monday.com automation depends on your plan.

Communications & scheduling

Your team chat, email, calendars, booking pages, and text messaging.

What we can do with it
We turn messages and bookings into tracked work. We route alerts and approvals, prepare meeting briefs, show who still needs a reply, and update calendars as plans change.
Works with
  • Slack
  • Gmail
  • Microsoft Outlook & Calendar
  • Google Calendar
  • Cal.com
  • Twilio Messaging
What you’ll need
Permission for each workspace, mailbox, and calendar. Company-wide access needs an administrator’s consent. Texting customers needs approved sender numbers, customer consent, and compliance setup.

Accounting, payments & payroll

The software that holds your books, invoices, card payments, and payroll.

What we can do with it
We match what happens in the business with customers, invoices, payments, and payroll context. Exceptions go into a review queue for your finance person.
Works with
  • QuickBooks Online
  • Xero
  • Stripe
  • Gusto · partner-approved path
What you’ll need
QuickBooks reviews apps before they go live, Xero has connection tiers, and Gusto must approve us as a partner. Moving money and running payroll always stay with a person.

Documents & data

Your shared drives, spreadsheets, and simple databases.

What we can do with it
We read source files and tables, pull out the useful details, and update the places you approve. Every update keeps a note of where it came from.
Works with
  • Google Drive & Sheets
  • SharePoint & Excel · delegated access
  • Airtable
What you’ll need
The file, site, and sheet permissions you already set are the limit. Wide Google access can need Google’s review. Excel workbooks need delegated Microsoft 365 access (permission granted on a user’s behalf).

Reporting & BI

The dashboards and reports your team uses to see how the business is doing.

What we can do with it
We publish current views of the business and keep reports fresh for decisions. We flag exceptions without changing the underlying records.
Works with
  • Power BI
  • Looker Studio templates & embeds
  • Source-system dashboards
What you’ll need
Power BI needs the right Microsoft tenant, workspace, and licence. For Looker Studio we work only with templates, connectors, assets, and embedded views.

Good to know

Will you see everything in our systems?
No. We ask for the least access that does the job, and you approve it before anything connects. The permissions you set in each tool are the limit.
What if our software isn’t listed?
Tell us. If it has an official doorway for other programs, or a secure export, we can usually work with it. We check before we promise anything.
Do we change how we work?
No. Your tools stay where they are. We add the connections and a visible workflow around them, so people can see the work move.

Your tools stay. We connect them, and you can see the work.

Before we build anything we confirm your software plan, admin permission, any vendor approval, and exactly what we are allowed to read or change.
